The FE exam is generally your first step in the process of becoming a professional
licensed engineer (P.E.). It is designed for recent graduates and students who are
close to finishing an undergraduate engineering degree from a program accredited by
EAC/ABET.
The College of Engineering offers support and encouragement to students interested
in taking the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE).
Steps to take:
- Register for a free account.
- The exam is taken online with a provision of a handbook that contains all equations
and information. Access to the handbook is provided after you register for an account.
You may register to take the exam later; registering for an account provides you with
the handbook.
- Review the breakdown of problems for the various subjects (Mechanical, Civil, General
