The FE exam is generally your first step in the process of becoming a professional licensed engineer (P.E.). It is designed for recent graduates and students who are close to finishing an undergraduate engineering degree from a program accredited by EAC/ABET.

The College of Engineering offers support and encouragement to students interested in taking the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE).

Steps to take:

  1. Register for a free account.
  2. The exam is taken online with a provision of a handbook that contains all equations and information. Access to the handbook is provided after you register for an account. You may register to take the exam later; registering for an account provides you with the handbook.
