The Undergraduate Engineering Advising Office assists undergraduate engineering students with realizing and achieving their academic goals. Students must be fully admitted into the College of Engineering at UNT to utilize services. Learn more about admissions.

Services we provide include (but are not limited to):

  • New Student Orientations
  • Clarification of UNT policies and procedures
  • Clarification of College of Engineering policies and procedures
  • Choosing a major and/or minor and/or certificate
  • Clarification of degree requirements
  • Assistance with registration issues
  • Creation and maintenance of degree audits (plans)
  • Approve or deny graduation
  • Graduation Ceremonies
  • Referrals for university services such as tutoring and mentoring, financial aid and scholarships, disability accommodation, job-hunting, etc.

New students - you will meet with your advisor when you attend UNT's mandatory orientation.

Current students or returning students - you can schedule an appointment with an advisor online. If you do not see open appointment times posted during the 1st week of fall or spring semesters, please call the Advising Office at 940-565-4201 for specialty appointment scheduling and advising options.

Course Override Procedure

Class Registration Issues:  If you need an override into a course or you are having a problem registering for a course that you know you are eligible to take, you will need to contact the course department directly.
