UNT Engineering recently created two new awards to recognize faculty and staff for their time, effort, and dedication to the college.

Erin Allice in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Yao Zhao from Research Services both received the Outstanding Staff of the Year, and award that recognizes staff whose performance has gone above and beyond expectation.

Wonbong Choi, a professor in the Departments of Materials Science and Engineering and Mechanical Engineering received the College of Engineering Faculty Research Award. The award recognizes a faculty member who has demonstrated an outstanding scholarly productivity during the past calendar year.

Thomas Scharf, a professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, was awarded the College of Engineering Faculty Teaching Award. The award recognizes a faculty member who has been outstanding in teaching during the past calendar year.
