Micro-Thermal Sensor Fabrication Lab

This lab houses the equipment, materials, hand stations for fabrication of the Choi-patented Micro-thermal Sensor (MTS). Steps include pulling borosilicate glass pipettes, filling pipettes, and coating pipettes through sputtering.

This is a BSL-2 Level Section

Section includes two Areas which are maintained by Human Cells Laboratory Operations Manager: Current HCLOM 

 

D210B Designated Cell Culture Area

This section houses cryo-preserved human cancer cells from NIH.

A designated cell culture room for cryo-preserving cultures, subculturing, preparing cultures for characterization profiles, setting-up designed testbeds for functional assessment of the MTS

Designated Micro-thermal Sensor (MTS) Cell Profile Thermal Conductivity/Diffusivity Assessment Area

This section houses Micro-thermal Sensor System designed specifically for use of the Choi-patented Micro-thermal Sensor (MTS).

Micro-thermal Sensors are tested for function.

Cells are tested with MTS for thermal conductivity/diffusivity profile.
