Dr. Madhavan Radhakrishnan is currently a research assistant professor in the Center for Agile and Adaptive Additive Manufacturing at the University of North Texas, Denton. He has a PhD in Materials Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. He was previously a research assistant professor at the University of New Mexico, and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. His research interests include the processing-microstructure correlation in materials, irradiation behavior of materials, multiscale mechanical behavior in materials, and materials design for advanced engineering applications. Dr. Radhakrishnan has extensive research experience in the field of large strain plastic deformation, microstructural evolution and mechanical testing of structural materials. He has involved in many application-driven research programs focusing on the role of microstructures in alloy development. His technical skills span microstructural characterization using TEM (including HRTEM and STEM), FIB, SEM-EBSD/TKD, and mechanical property measurements via tensile testing, micro- and nano-indentation. He has published more than 40 articles in peer-reviewed high-impact journals (H-index: 13) and is serving as a reviewer for research journals such as Acta Materialia and Materials Science and Engineering.
