How to Apply?

Application Deadline for 2023 Summer Camp: January 15, 2023 (CLOSED)

Accepted Teachers Who Complete the Program Will Receive

  • The opportunity to learn about Cybersecurity topics to teach to their students
  • $900 stipend for 5 days.
  • One iPad and case
  • Lunches at the 5 in-person meetings
  • Parking permit
  • Virtual support (zoom sessions and office hours) for pre-camp and post-camp activities
  • A certificate of completion
  • The opportunity to be part of program that has a strong emphasis on collaboration with other highly motivated teachers
  • Once an applicant has been accepted to the program, a response from the applicant, either accept or decline, must be received within five days of the date of the offer letter. Successful applicants must complete and sign a Participation Agreement form prior to starting the program. Each participant must commit to participate in assessment activities before and after their experience.

Pre-Camp Dates

  • Session 1 (April 20th 2023, 4:30-6pm, virtual):
    Orientation and Information Session 
  • Session 2 (April 27th 2023, 4:30-6pm, virtual):
    Team Building Exercise and Security Tool Pre-test
  • Session 3 (May 18th 2023, 4:30-6pm, virtual):
    Invited Talk from Industry: Janie Aggas, Information Security Officer at Fidelity Investments
  • Session 4 (June 1st 2023, 4:30-6pm, virtual):
    Intro Lecture (computers, network, cybersecurity, etc.)

Post-Camp Dates:

  • Session 1 (June 29th 2023, 4:30-6pm, virtual):
    Help session for lesson plan and curriculum development 
  • Session 2 (July 13th 2023, 4:30-6pm, virtual):
    Lesson plan presentation
  • Session 3 (July 27th 2023, 4:30-6pm, virtual):
    Lesson plan presentation
  • Session 4 (August 10th 2023, 4:30-6pm, virtual):
    Lesson plan presentation
  • Cohort group meetings (6 hours)
    Day and time will be set by the cohort groups
  • Virtual Office hours (4-5pm)
