Advisory Council

The primary purpose of the Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) is to:

• Provide advice to maintain CSE program curricula to be current.
• Increase national level visibility of the department by strengthening ties between the department, industry, and the government.
• Promote our graduates and aid in undergraduate and graduate students seeking high-quality jobs.
• The IAB and its members are requested to serve as an advocacy group with the State of Texas and University officials on behalf of the department and its programs.
• Serve as a constituent for the CSE Department’s programs with regards to ABET (program educational objectives and input to the curriculum) accreditation.
• Establish sustainable funding models to provide resources (fellowships, and other forms of support) to be competitive with peer institutions.
