Alpha Sigma Mu is the international professional and academic honor society for the field of Materials Science and Engineering. Membership into this prestigious society is granted by a board of UN MTSE faculty each semester. Students are selected based upon scholarship, research, and presence within the department.
Eligibility: all enrolled MTSE graduate students
Nomination: faculty
Students in the MTSE graduate program may nominate individuals for this award. This award is intended for those who dedicate themselves to their program, the university, and their community. Students who are eligible for this award will typically contribute approximately 5 hours or more of community service per semester and are visible on their campus making a positive difference for other students.
