A native of Dallas, Texas, I graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master's of Business Administration from University of Texas at Arlington. Ever since I was young, I have always had a passion for engineering. Besides my personal interest for studying engineering, my parents were a huge influence on me. My parents would buy me all sorts of toys. I always enjoyed dismantling and fixing these toys to see how they were made and how the parts made the toy function. I was basically a junior engineer from a very young age. During my time at UNT, I received the knowledge and skills that I needed to be a great engineer. UNT combines hands-on projects, engaging faculty, and top of the line facilities to provide students with the best education. The hands-on projects gave me real world examples of how things worked. The department's multidisciplinary coursework gives students opportunities to solve problems by working with other engineering experts. UNT helped me lay a foundation for success academically and professionally. I currently work as a System Engineer for Raytheon in Richardson, Texas. Raytheon is the world's largest producer of guided missiles and a major U.S. defense contractor and industrial corporation with core manufacturing concentrations in weapons and military and commercial electronics. UNT provides numerous opportunities for its students to receive industrial exposure as well as employment in top firms. No matter where I have worked, people know UNT and the strong reputation they have.
