July 2022- Drs. Bostanci and Manzo conduct a workshop

Drs. Bostanci and Manzo conduct a workshop with a theme “Introduction to Nuclear Power: Energy Conversion, Instrumentation, and Control” for STEM educators. The outreach program was developed in partnership with the Nuclear Power Institute to offer a nuclear-themed workshop designed for educators to eventually facilitate training of students in North Texas and introduce them basics of nuclear power, associated energy conversion process, instrumentation, and control aspects.

May 2022- Sarvadi defends MS thesis

Alexander Sarvadi successfully defends his MS thesis on "Microgravity Vortex Phase Separator for Liquid Amine CO2 Removal System".

July 2021- Sarvadi wins second place in ICES 2021 Student Poster Competition

Alexander Sarvadi wins second place in 50th International Conference on Environmental Systems (ICES 2021) Student Poster Competition with the poster titled "Preliminary Tests with Microgravity Vortex Phase Separator for Liquid Amine CO2 Removal System”.

Amir Bagheri successfully defends his PhD dissertation on "Characterization, Analysis, and Optimization of Rotary Displacer Stirling Engines".

March 2019- TML hosts an Open House

TML hosts an Open House and presents thermal management and Stirling energy conversion related research along with other labs at the Department of Engineering Technology.

April 2017- Shareef is finalist UNT 3MT Competition

Mohammed Awaizulla Shareef presents "Two-Phase Immersion Cooling" as one of the finalists at UNT 3MT (Three Minute Thesis) Competition.

December 2014- Bagheri is finalist in Spirit of Innovation Competition

Amir Bagheri's proposal on “Optimization of an Innovative Stirling Engine for Energy Recovery/Production” is selected as one of the eight finalists by the US India Chamber of Commerce DFW “Spirit of Innovation Competition 2014” (SOIC).
