  • Outreach: Sydney and Merbin participated the UNT College Day and lead the Materials Research Facility tour for more than 50 incoming freshmen.
  • Conference: Dr. Zheng attended NSF MGI PI meeting in Washington DC with Dr. Liang Qi from University of Michigan and Dr. Feng Yan from Arizona State University. Our team presented our NSF DMREF project, AI-enabled Automated Design of Ultrastrong and Ultraelastic Metallic Alloys.
  • Student Presentation: Deepak, Sydney and Dr. Zheng attended M&M2024 Conference in Cleveland, Ohio. Deepak presented an oral talk, Multi-dimensional Characterization of Nanostructures in Titanium Alloys using 2D Aberration-corrected STEM and 3D Atom Probe Tomography, and Sydney presented an oral talk, Multi-dimensional Characterization of Additive Manufactured Titanium Alloys using 3D FIB-SEM Tomography.
  • Outreach: Mr. Ishan Wakade, a sophomore from Coppell High School, completed 2-week intern in our group. Ishan had webinar discussion with graduate students from UNT, ASU and UM supported by NSF DMREF project and learned hands-on electron microscope experience using table-top HITACHI TM3030Plus SEM.
