ABSTRACT
Preparation and characterization of a new ceramic + polymer nanohybrid usable for fIlling dental cavities is reported. The material provides a high wear resistance (440 % more abrasion resistant with respect to a widely used commercial Bis-GMA resin and 2640 % more resistant with respect to a typical dental amalgam). The material is non-toxic, resistant to chemicals and has a good adhesion to the substrate (dentin).
