Undergraduate Student Advising

The Engineering Advising office provides services for undergraduate and undergraduate prospective students at the University of North Texas. The office is located at Discovery Park, Room C104. Discovery Park is located at 3940 N. Elm St., Denton, Texas.

Undergraduate and undergraduate prospective students also receive advising through departmental advisors. The departmental faculty advisors will provide advising in the area of specialty, department requirements and initiation of degree audits. The completion and final approval of degree audits is with the Dean through the Advising office.

Advisors and Counselors assist students through support activities such as:

• New Student Orientations
• Assistance with registration issues
• Choosing a major and/or minor
• Clarification of degree requirements
• Clarification of university and college policies & procedures
• Referrals for university services such as tutoring & mentoring, financial aid & scholarships, disability accommodation, job-hunting & co-op education
• Preparing degree audits
• Filing for graduation
