What tips can you give to achieve success within your major and college?
Stay organized, whether that’s by color-coding your classes or using a planner. I also find it easier to see my advisor at the beginning of the semester rather than the end when everyone is rushing to schedule an appointment. That way, you can be one of the first in your class to register for your courses instead of having to wait.
What campus office or service do you recommend?
The Student Health and Wellness Center. It is very helpful to go to their office on campus if you live too far away from home to go to your regular doctor. Aside from your physical health, they also have a great counseling service that you can visit for free for your first few appointments.
What is your favorite part about the UNT College of Engineering?
I like how the Engineering building (Discovery Park) is on its own away from the main campus. It makes all of the College of Engineering students become closer and familiar with each other.
What would you like to do after graduation?
After graduating from UNT, I plan on attending Texas A&M for grad school to study Entrepreneurial Leadership. I would like to become a project manager and hope to eventually start my own custom home-building company.
