Dr. Rada Mihalcea (Computer Science and Engineering) was named by the U.S. Office of the President as one of the top 100 university researchers nationwide for her groundbreaking research on the interpretation of text for language-processing applications.

• Dr. Kamesh Namuduri (Electrical Engineering) is working to build a network of wireless sensors that would allow robots to communicate with each other, make decisions and retain knowledge obtained by other robots on Mars missions.
• Dr. Jincheng Du (Materials Science and Engineering) leads an NSF grant funded team studying methods to improve the properties of glass materials, from car windshields to smartphone screens.
