Society of Women Engineers

The Society of Women Engineers has empowered women in engineering since 1950, recognizing their impact in the field and offering career opportunities, training and development programs, networking, scholarships, outreach and advocacy activities.

SWE’s goal for education is to increase the number of women graduating with engineering degrees from 18 percent to 30 percent by 2020. SWE awards more than $500,000 in scholarships each year, sponsors fun competitions, and offers excellent job and internship resources.

UNT-SWE collaborated with Dallas SWE to host the Design Your World-STEM Conference for Girls. Two activites led by MEE were the Solar cars renewable energy and the Rube Goldberg type creative design. Check out the pulsing YouTube Video of the event and stay tuned for our next opportunity.
