Lindsey Smith Awarded TIDA/MEE Scholarship

Sophomore Lindsey Smith, studying Math at TWU and Mechanical and Energy Engineering at UNT, received the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA) Departmental Scholarship for Mechanical and Energy Engineering on Friday, February 7th.

Smith is enrolled in the UNT-TWU Dual Degree program, which seeks to encourage women to pursue professional careers in engineering by allowing TWU students to enroll in the UNT College of Engineering.

The scholarship is funded by TIDA, a non-profit organization committed to sharing knowledge and resources among the trucking industry. TIDA also gives a scholarship to a student in the College of Business. Smith is the only Engineering student to receive a scholarship from TIDA.
