IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu events announced
Two events sponsored by IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu, the Electrical Engineering student honor society, have been announced.
On December 1, from 3:30 to 5:30pm in room B242 at UNT’s Discovery Park, the HKN National President Steven Goodnick will be visiting to deliver the charter for the Lambda Zeta Chapter and induct the charter officers. Faculty, staff, students, and distinguished guests from the College of Engineering, the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering will attend this event. On December 9, at 6:00pm in room B185 at UNT’s Discovery Park, the Lambda Zeta chapter of HKN will host its first Induction Ceremony where the student officers will induct the charter members. There will be free catering available after the ceremony.
IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu consists of over 200 university chapters, over 200,000 members, a variety of committees, many active member volunteers, and thousands of student members.IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu is the student honor society of IEEE and is dedicated to encouraging and recognizing excellence in the IEEE-designated fields of interest (i.e. Electrical and Computer Engineering). Members consist of students, alumni, and other professionals who have demonstrated exceptional academic and professional accomplishments. Student members are selected on the basis of scholastic standing, character, and leadership. Student members develop lifelong skills that earmark them for prominent positions in industry and academia. They are recognized as extremely capable, both technically and professionally.
