DENTON (UNT), Texas -  A $1 million grant from the National Science Foundation for an innovative electrical engineering program includes funding for scholarships to attract women and minorities to the University of North Texas College of Engineering.

UNT's Electrical Engineering department has excellent state-of-the-art instructional and research laboratories and software to provide practical and advanced hands-on experiences for students. Some laboratories and instrumentation from other departments are also available to our students for interdisciplinary work.

Students with outstanding academic records have an excellent chance to receive scholarships throughout their studies. Since a majority of project-oriented classes are taught by industrial adjuncts, students will have excellent opportunities for internship and/or employment as well.
